(BPT) - With the shift to cooler temperatures, insects like to migrate to warmer weather. For homeowners during the season change, that can spell an uptick in bugs like spiders, lady bugs, cockroaches and more venturing indoors.

(BPT) - The bathroom tends to be the easiest space in the home to clean, spruce up or decorate. Buying the perfect shower curtain is way less frustrating than choosing the right couch or countertop. But while the aesthetics of the bathroom can be simpler to pull off, the importance of designing a bathroom that balances easy living and functionality is often overlooked.

Grace Mitchell, District X Horticulture Chair, presented horticulture tips at the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania’s (CGFP) District X recent Board Meeting.  She also brought samples of some of the last horticulture of the season from her gardens.  The horticulture included Cosmos, Green Envy Zinnias, Hyacinth Bean vines, Cleopatra Cannas, Tropicanna Cannas, red Cleopatra Canna leaves, New Zealand Caster Bean leaves, Giant Caster Bean leaves and Mexican Sun Flowers

Backyarding, the trend to move many indoor activities outdoors, is now a permanent way of life. During the pandemic, learning to work, entertain, vacation, work out and more right in one’s own backyard, became a necessity—and people are learning it’s often a better way to live.

According to the TurfMutt Foundation, identifying your backyarding personality type is an important first step in creating a backyard that supports your family’s needs and desires.
