Cornerstone Care’s “Dancing with a Pink Ribbon” Breast Health Project will be offering free breast cancer screenings on Saturday, October 3rd from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The mobile unit will be located near the St. Damien Catholic Church, located at 722 W. Main St., Monongahela.


“Dancing with a Pink Ribbon” provides women age 40 and over with free clinical breast exams conducted by a medical professional, as well as mammogram referrals.  The project also assists the uninsured and underinsured in obtaining a free or low cost mammogram. 

“Dancing with a Pink Ribbon” provides education and outreach to men and women about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer.   “Dancing with a Pink Ribbon” is a program made possible with funding provided by Susan G. Komen, Pittsburgh.

Pastor Tim Green and members of Calvary Chapel South Pittsburgh (CCSP) hosted their first Back- to-School event for the children of West Elizabeth. With a motivational speaker and a teen band, the children went back to school with a great send-off. Adam Meshanko won the raffle basket of school supplies!

 

The Women's Club of West Newton will host a Valley Art Club exhibition November 14, 2015 at the Fells United Methodist Church in Fellsburg from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
