The Chamber is hosting an After Hours ConneXions Mixer

Are you looking for a way to make new business ConneXions? Come join the Chamber at Level 20 in Bethel Park for appetizers, specialty beer and a wine discount of the evening.  From 5:30-7:30 p.m. every first Wednesday, you can enjoy networking, food and fun while expanding your business ConneXions.  Bring some friends with you.  This month’s  ConneXions Mixer is on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

‘Meet Your Local Officials’ Forum

Join the Chamber at lunch on June 8, 2016 for a “Meet Your Local Officials” forum.  Officials from Bethel Park, South Park and Castle Shannon will be participating in a forum at the Crowne Plaza on Ft. Couch Road in Bethel Park. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12 p.m.

 “Breakfast with Brueggie” and the Chamber

Every second Friday of the month, the Chamber hosts “Breakfast with Brueggie.” Members and potential members enjoy a free bagel and coffee and make new business connections in an informal setting.

Attention, employers! The IRS has issued Transition Relief, removing the 28-day filing deadline for Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC). Employers who hired anyone eligible for WOTC from January 1, 2015 thru May 31, 2016, have until June 29, 2016 to submit a WOTC application.


If you hired individuals from any of the following target groups, please contact PA CareerLink Mon Valley’s Business Representative at 724-379-4750 to see how you can apply for WOTC.
• Veterans target groups
• TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) or SNAP (food stamp) recipients
• Qualified long-term unemployed (27 consecutive weeks or more) who received unemployment compensation
• Designated community residents (Warren and Venango Counties & portions of Fayette County)
• Vocational rehabilitation referrals
• Ex-felons hired within 1 year after conviction or release from prison
• Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients
