The Rotary Club of Pleasant Hills recently held an induction ceremony at Tavern in the Hills, where four new members were officially welcomed into our community. This joint meeting with the Rotary clubs of White Oak and Elizabeth was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the theme of this year: “The Magic of Rotary.”

Read more...Crossroads Ministries again will serve as a local drop-off site for this year’s Operation Christmas Child shoebox distribution project. Now in its 31st year, Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, has collected shoeboxes filled with gifts for children ranging in ages from 2 to 14. The shoeboxes are delivered to children in need in the United States and in more than 170 countries and territories around the world.
Read more...The Whitehall Borough Historical Society recently hosted a program with author Tom McMillan on his book Flight 93 and also awarded their History Student of the year award. Rakshya Kafle, a senior at Baldwin High School, received the History Student of the Year Award, and received a plaque to take home.
