The film industry has come to such towns as Donora, Monessen, Rankin, Braddock, and McKeesport to film a series titled "Rust," which will appear on Showtime and is based on the novel American Rust by Philipp Meyer.

The designation comes from the nonpartisan Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project (CVP) and NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
