Bethesda United Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth, 314 S. Third St. in Elizabeth, will be hosting Family Services of Western PA as they present "Parenting: See and Do" on November 7 at 11 a.m. This presentation will explore how children's exposure to violence in the home, community, or media can influence child development, coping skills, and aggression. Violence during childhood has consequences that can last for life.

The Elizabeth Baptist Church is having their indoor flea market at 735 Bunola River Road in Elizabeth on Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A large variety of "treasures" will be for sale including electronics, decor, jewelry, kitchen, domestics, etc.

The John McMillan Presbyterian Church will be hosting its annual Christmas Affair on Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event includes over 55 crafters and features the JMPC Bakery, a gingerbread house, a Chinese auction, Kris Kringle Kafé, and an Angel Emporium Tree.

Guests came from both locally and out of state to recognize Obbie and George Mcclintock for their 50 years of service to the church as organist and musical directors.
