Belle Vernon Public Library is partnering with the Goodwill of SWPA’s Tri County Plaza location to host a Donation Drive. Goodwill Donations brought to the store on Tuesday, March 28 between 3 – 6 p.m. will help the library raise money, as well benefit Goodwill in their mission to help people overcome barriers to employment.

The Bible Chapel located at 203 Johnston Ave in Pricedale, is hosting a FREE “Concert for Life” on March 4, from 7-8 pm.  The concert will feature the band Abbots Cross.  With roots in jazz, classical and rock, Abbot’s Cross is redefining traditional Celtic Music.  The concert is free to the public.   Also, any child who comes can enter a coloring contest, and they will be given a prize just for coloring it!

Bethesda U.P. Church has begun taking orders for their annual apple dumpling sale. The apple dumplings can be ordered “baked” or “unbaked.” The unbaked dumplings will be frozen. Baking instructions, refrigerated sauce, and baking tins will be provided with the unbaked and frozen dumplings.

Monessen Public Library will host nationally known cryptozoologist Stan Gordon on Saturday March 18 at 11:00 AM.  Stan Gordon began investigating reports of Bigfoot sightings in Pennsylvania in the late 1960’s. Since then he has interviewed hundreds of witnesses who claim to have encountered these strange hairy creatures.
