Pictured at the Chamber luncheon are (l-r): Dave LaCarte, Mike LaCarte, Dan LaCarte, and Joe LaCarte (all brothers to John LaCarte); father Jack LaCarte; cousin Jon Ferrando; John LaCarte; and Jon King of Stoney’s.

He is CEO of Stoney’s Brewing Company and was joined by Stoney’s president, Jon King, in presenting the history of Stoney’s beer, their family ties, and what the vision is for the new partnership.

John discussed his family’s four-generation connection to Jones Brewery from his great-grandfather, Joseph Ferrando, who hauled kegs for ‘Stoney’ Jones, to his grandmother, Emma, who babysat young Shirley Jones.

“Mr. Smoothy,” the Stoney’s mascot and new packaging for Stoney’s Premium and Stoney’s Light, was introduced during the presentation. “We want to connect the Stoney’s brand to fun,” said LaCarte.

Stoney’s has appeared at numerous events throughout the Valley and is a major sponsor at Charleroi Community Days on June 30 and July 1. The company’s website is at www.stoneysbeer.com
