For those with a giving heart, the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is a local 501(c) (3) charity that makes charitable giving easier, more satisfying, and more effective. In its mission to promote and facilitate philanthropy, the WCCF assumes four different roles: grant-maker, fundraiser, donor service organization, and community leader.

After ending its first year with a mere $5,000 in assets, the WCCF has grown to manage more than $35,000,000 in assets and is the largest publicly-supported Foundation headquartered in Washington County.

And in addition to hosting Washington County’s annual day of giving, WCCF Gives, the WCCF administers a broad grant-making program and provides free educational seminars for charities serving our community. Cumulatively, more than $13,500,000 in grants and scholarships has been awarded to local charities and students through the Community Foundation.
