Health

Downtown West Newton Inc., along with the West Newton Center for Active Adults, will be hosting their annual Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at Simeral Square and at the West Newton Senior Center, both located at the corner of Main Street and North Water Street in West Newton.

The day kicks off early at 9:30 a.m. with a FREE Zumba class at the West Newton Senior Center and again at 1 p.m. with another in the park at Simeral Square. There will be plenty of health professionals on hand offering free screenings and information on a variety of healthcare issues. There will be vendors, and the West Newton Fire Company will be there with their grand fire truck. Bring the kids out so they can meet the firemen and get a chance to check out the truck.

There will be plenty of food, so come early to grab bite to eat and sample our selection of healthy shakes for a minimal charge. The duck race begins at 11 a.m. in the Yough River. Get there early to buy your duck! There will also be a big Chinese auction and a lottery board raffle located in the West Newton Senior Center.
For more details, or if you would like to participate, please give the Senior Center a call at 724-872-4976.
