Library News

The Baldwin Borough Public Library is pleased to announce it is hosting local author and reporter Paula Reed Ward to discuss her book: Death by Cyanide: The Murder of Dr. Autumn Klein. This free event will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 7 at the Baldwin Borough Public Library, located at 41 Macek Drive, Pittsburgh.

Her book is based on the famous Pittsburgh murder and subsequent investigation of Dr. Autumn Klein. On April 17, 2013, Dr. Klein collapsed suddenly and died three days later. Police said her husband, Dr. Robert Ferrante, killed her through cyanide poisoning.

In Death by Cyanide, Paula Reed Ward takes readers on a journey through the poisoning and the medical staff’s heroic measures to save Klein’s life to the investigation of Ferrante and the emotion and drama inside the Pittsburgh courtroom.

Paula Reed Ward has been a reporter for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette since 2003 and has covered more than a dozen capital murder trials. She grew up in Pleasant Hills and currently lives in Brentwood.

Books will be available for purchase after the talk and light refreshments will be served. Registration is required by calling the library at 412-885-2255.
