Book Sale

The month of July brings to you one of the largest book sales in the Mon Valley. The sale will take place on Friday July 28 and Saturday July 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. The sale will be held at the historic Plummer House located on South Water Street in West Newton. There will be four rooms jam-packed with hundreds of books. It will be fill-a-bag for $5, or if you would like just one book, hardbacks are $1 and paperbacks are 50¢. Come early for the best selections!

Fall Tea

Next, back by popular demand, we will be hosting our fall tea on Sunday, October 22 kicking off at 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Le Grande Room, located on South Second Street in West Newton. This year’s tea will have a seasonal flair with a theme of "Tea for all Seasons." Each table will showcase a special time of year. Tickets will go on sale in September, so gather your group and call the library to reserve your tickets in advance, as seating is limited. Cost: $15/ticket. Each year is a blast, with great raffles and wonderful food.

Summer Reading Program

Calling all kids - just a reminder that the summer reading program is in full force. If you haven't picked up your reading log, make sure to do so soon. Each log that is turned in earns you raffle tickets for some great prizes, which are on display in the library. The more you read, the more tickets you earn for some great items.

Seeking Volunteers

We need your help! The West Newton Library is kicking off their summer recruiting for new volunteers for the Friends of the Library. If you enjoy helping out to make a difference in the community, give us a call and let us know if you would like to be a volunteer.

Mega Jewelry Sale

The library is on the hunt for donations to our upcoming spring Mega Jewelry sale. We are actively accepting donations, both big and small, new, used, vintage, estate. Whatever you have will be greatly appreciated. All proceeds raised from our sales benefit the library 100%.
