Library News

The West Newton Library announces the following event.

• Hours of Operation: Monday and Thursday from 12-5 p.m.; Wednesday from 12-8 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The library will host a children's parade. It will be called a 'Teddy Bear Sleepover.' The children must be accompanied by a parent. They will bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal. They will march in the Miracle On Main Street Parade on Saturday, November 25, which starts at 5:15 p.m. Lineup begins at Vine Street Park at 4:30 p.m. The children will be led by our head teddy bear and will end up at the West Newton Library. They will leave there teddy or stuffed animal over night at the library and will return on Sunday at noon at the library to pick up their stuffed animal and see what mischief the guys got into. Participants must contact the library to register for the event library at 724-633-0798.
Our Children's Christmas Celebration will take place on Sunday, December 3rd. The event starts at 2 p.m. at the LeGrande Room located on South Second Street in West Newton. The event features the all-time favorite animated classic, " How the Grinch Stole Christmas." There will fun crafts, hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks for all. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The event is FREE for all! Please contact the library at 724-633-0798 to register for the event and let us know how many will be attending.
