Library News

Donora Public Library is located at 510 Meldon Ave. Please call the library at 724-379-7940 for details.

Sunday, March 8 – 'Frontier Days' Celebration

The Donora Public Library and the Donora Historical Society invite you to join us from 1-3 p.m. at the Library for a commemoration of Donora's former 'Frontier Days' celebrations. This event will feature a reading by Dr. David Lonich from Frost Moon Rising, his latest published Western novel, and will include displays of original artwork from the novel and of items reminiscent of Frontier Days. In exchange for a monetary donation, attendees will receive a free copy of Frost Moon Rising. Light refreshments will be served.

Thursdays, March 12 and 26 – Knit and Crochet Group

All thumbs? Don't know a crochet hook from a knitting needle? Or are you, perhaps, currently knitting forty-five different shades of yarn? No worries! Whether you are an expert or have no idea, all yarn-o-philes and wannabes are invited to attend the library's Knit and Crochet group from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 12 and 26. We start from where we are, skill-wise. Some of us learn new patterns, some of us try to find the working end of the yarn...But we all have a good time! Do come!
