Story Time: Miss Angie has been busy, busy, busy getting lots of good read-aloud stories and story-time experiences ready to launch in the library's ground floor meeting room. Pre-school story time will be held weekly on Fridays at noon, starting Friday, October 23.

In addition to the weekly story time, Miss Angie has concocted some stirring, seasonally-appropriate Hallowe'en occasions for grade- and middle-schoolers: Brave children ages 5-10 are invited to come to the library in their pajamas, bringing a pillow or blanket and their imagination, 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, for a spooky story experience. The campfire will be imaginary, but the ghosts and goblins....who knows?

Thursday, October 29, 6 p.m. is the day and time for those aged 11 to 15 to convene. Just so you know, attendees should anticipate the introduction of some seriously scary stuff into the cranium, with the possibility of shivers down the spine!

Knit & Crochet Group
Have yarn UFOs (un-finished objects) landed in your environment? We totally understand, and we, the Knit & Crochet Group, invite you to bring your projects or plans and come join us on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Our ranks range from beginner to awesome, and we welcome all comers, of all skill levels. Join us to learn how to knit or crochet (we have hooks, needles, and yarn you can use), to get help with a project, or to show us a thing or two--We meet, chat, laugh, and keep each other on task.

Bridge Group
The ladies and gentleman of the Bridge Group cordially invite you to come play with them in the ground floor meeting room of the Donora Public Library on the second and fourth Thursday afternoons of each month, at 3:30 p.m. If you're new to bridge or a bit rusty, no worries! You'll be up to speed in no time.

Book Group
If “books are many lives to live,” would you like to have Addie Baum's life—or have you lived parts of it already? Addie Baum is the main character of The Boston Girl: A Novel by Anita Diamant, which the Donora Public Library Book Group is reading for our 3:30 p.m. Oct. 17 meeting. We meet on the third Thursday of every month, and we invite you to join us for lively, thoughtful conversation—and we'll also discuss the book!
