Local entrepreneur and owner of Kinder Karate®, Kara Czerniak recently achieved the status of best-selling author with her first book, "The Kinder Karate® Method: Improve Your Preschooler's Discipline, Confidence, Focus and Self-Control with Martial Arts Made for Them."

The digital version of the book was released on June 13, 2017 on Amazon.com. Upon its release, it reached #1 bestseller status in 3 categories - exercise & fitness, counseling children, and individual sports.

For over twenty years, Kara and her husband Paul Czerniak have had a successful martial arts business with Dynamic Martial Arts. In the last 5 years, their Kinder Karate® brand has grown into 4 Pittsburgh locations, including Bethel Park, Jefferson Hills, Elizabeth/McKeesport, and Belle Vernon. The Kinder Karate® brand is now expanding nationally, with franchises projected to be opening fall of 2017.

Czerniak says she wrote "The Kinder Karate® Method" to help educate parents on the benefits of involving their preschool or kindergarten-aged children in a developmentally-appropriate activity.
