Monongahela author Chuck David traveled to Springfield, Ohio for a book fair sponsored by Higher Ground Books.

Author Chuck David participates in his first book show.

David's book, “The Tin Can Gang,” is a children's Christian book that is a motivational read, especially for children struggling with tragedies, such as divorce or being bullied. He is hopeful that the book will encourage adults and children to read together.

David first started writing poetry in elementary school, winning numerous awards along the way. He found comfort in writing. From there he grew to write short stories. When he was 13 years old, a friend taught him how to draw. That was when he first created his imaginary world of playing with tin cans.

He shares his writing on his Facebook page, Chuck David “A Poem a Day.” David explained, “The page includes poetry of my thoughts, my life, and visions that God has shown me.”

David's writing plans for the future are to continue to write books in the Tin Can Gang series, to write an autobiography that details the trials he overcame in his own life, as well as a journal of his poetry.
