This ceremony brought Troop # 323's Eagle Scout total to 100, a significant achievement.

Baldwin Community United Methodist Church hosted the event, which was attended by several local dignitaries and included a presentation by Gene Eckman from the Pittsburgh South Hills Elks Lodge 2213, located in Bethel Park. Mr. Eckman handed out framed award certificates, a personal US flag, and an Elks/scouting gold pin to each of the new Eagle Scouts.

One of the final that challenges that must be completed to earn this highest rank and very prestigious award is a community service venture called their Eagle Project. Daniel's project consisted of completing a house-to-house survey for the borough of Whitehall on local wildlife management and control options and getting feedback from the local residents. Daniel supervised the polling, compiled the findings, and presented the report to the local Whitehall officials. Christopher's project involved

completely rebuilding the stairway and base area at the LeLand Athletic Field, which many older retired citizens were having difficulty using, due to the poor condition.
