Dorothy Flaherty Weldon, Past National President, Past State President and the Delegate from Mary Ellen O’Neill Division #4 Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Inc. (LAOH), attended the Pennsylvania 98th AOH/LAOH Biennial Convention in King of Prussia, PA from July 22-26, 2015.

She chaired the Rules of Order Committee on the opening of the convention and read “A Woman’s Prayer” written by her late sister, Sr. Peggy Flaherty CDP, former Pennsylvania State Chaplain, on the opening of the second business day.

Past National President Weldon served as secretary of the National Constitution Revision Committee and both the National Constitution and Ritual are available on the National LAOH website.

The mission statement of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians is as follows: While practicing Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity, we will work to strengthen our Roman Catholic Faith, our Country and our Communities and perpetuate the religion, history, culture and traditions of our Irish Heritage.
