The community of Brentwood celebrated its 100th annual Independence Day celebration with events lasting the whole weekend through.

On Saturday, July 2, they began the weekend with their community day, which included children's activities, games, entertainment, raffles, a concert in the park, and the revealing of the winner of the house decorating contest.
On Sunday, July 3, they continued with a community blood drive where participants received 2 tickets to a Pirates game, a street fair with food booths and vendors, and then they wrapped up the day's events with the firemen competing in a battle of the barrel.
On Monday, July 4, the community hosted a 5K race just before the honorary flyover and the 3-hour parade, which included neighboring fire companies and police stations like Elizabeth, Clairton, Pleasant Hills, and Blaine Hill, local high school marching bands and color guards, and local dance schools. The weekend came to a close with a beautiful display of fireworks.
