State Representative Rick Saccone gave a heartfelt tribute to these men and women who battle the elements of fire to protect their communities. Harry Neel, owner of Jefferson Hills Cemetery, spoke in awe of the loyalties of firefighters, while his daughter, Dagney Fitzpatrick, read a poem to the men and women. After the unveiling, Reverend Jude Urso blessed the statue and prayed for the firefighters, whose bravery knows no bounds. CEO David Middlemiss stated, “This is all about them,” and nodded to the firefighters. “This is their day.”
