Suzy and Jim Broadhurst to be recognized at ‘Celebrate the South Hills with SHIM’

South Hills Interfaith Movement will host its annual ‘Celebrate the South Hills with SHIM’ event at a new location, the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh of Southpointe, on May 17, 2017.

The event serves as an opportunity to thank SHIM’s donors, supporters and volunteers and celebrate the great work being done throughout the community. All proceeds will benefit local families served by SHIM.

“Celebrate the South Hills with SHIM is a celebration of community, philanthropy and volunteerism,” said Jim Guffey, executive director, SHIM. “But it is also an opportunity for us to continue raising awareness and educating our community of the great need throughout the South Hills.”

During this year’s ‘Celebrate the South Hills with SHIM,’ the organization is pleased to recognize Suzy and Jim Broadhurst of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group as this year’s South Hills Champions.

“The Broadhursts embody the spirit of the South Hills and have shown a long-time dedication to our community. SHIM is proud to honor and recognize them for their commitment to our region,”Guffey said.

The event, beginning at 5:30 p.m., will include a reception, dinner, presentation from SHIM, and bidding opportunities to benefit the organization’s beneficiaries and work in the South Hills.
