On March 5, 2017, Attorney John "Jack" Puskar, a resident of South Park, was formally endorsed by the Allegheny County Democratic Committee for the office of District Judge, for District 05-2-16. District 05-2-16 covers the communities of South Park, Pleasant Hills, and Jefferson Hills

"I am proud and humbled to have received this honor," said Puskar. "I promise to dedicate myself to serving our community."
If elected, Puskar pledges to serve the office full-time and to serve as long as the members of the community would have him serve.
