Congressman Tim Murphy (PA-18), a practicing psychologist and champion of mental health reform in Congress as the author of the transformational Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act, is featured in "CBS Evening News Uncharted: State of Mind," a new five-part digital series airing this month in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month. This groundbreaking series will examine our nation's broken mental health system.
As a leading expert in psychology and mental health policy, Congressman Murphy offers his take in the first episode, titled "Where we are as a nation."
Throughout the series, other experts will provide their thoughts on the state of mental health care in America, including Dr. David Shulkin, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; former U.S. Rep.
