South Hills Interfaith Movement announces new board members

Organization Welcomes Three Local Leaders.

South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM) is pleased to announce the oncoming of three community leaders to its Board of Directors.

Kimberly Love of InVision Human Services; Rev. Louise Rogers, Pastor for Peters Creek United Presbyterian Church; and Lejla Sehic, vice president and senior product manager, BNY Mellon, will join SHIM’s Board of Directors after three former members’ terms expired.

“We are thrilled to have three passionate and dedicated individuals join our Board of Directors,” said James Guffey, executive director, SHIM. “Our board members help us make critical decisions and continue to grow and serve our community in new ways. We hope to reach even more South Hills residents in need and are looking forward to doing great work with these three individuals.”

Love, Rev. Rogers and Sehic will join the other 15 members of SHIM’s Board of Directors. This group is comprised of leaders and professionals in the Pittsburgh area who dedicate their talents and expertise to help SHIM serve the South Hills.

Kimberly Love, a Bethel Park resident, has background in strategic planning, team building and leadership development, business development, revenue growth and expense management and employee engagement. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer of InVision Human Services located in Wexford, PA, where she has worked since 1998 in various positions. Prior to joining InVision, Love worked in the social service sector. She has both a Bachelor and Masters degree in Psychology and holds great expertise with local nonprofit organizations.

returns to SHIM’s Board of Directors for a second time, having served on the board from 2009 – 2012. Rev. Rogers is a resident of Upper St. Clair and currently serves as the Pastor for Peters Creek United Presbyterian Church. Prior to accepting a call to the ministry, Rev. Rogers obtained experience in the workforce, as the vice president of sales for ADP. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and religion from Grove City College and a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She brings great knowledge of SHIM as well as a faith community perspective.

Lejla Sehic, a Bethel Park resident, was a refugee from Bosnia twenty years ago when she resettled in Prospect Park. During that time, she was engaged in SHIM’s programming efforts and was a recipient of SHIM’s services. Since arriving as a refugee, Sehic has obtained a Bachelors and Masters degree and is currently a senior product manager in the investment services industry at BNY Mellon. Sehic is an active member of the diversify and inclusion business resource groups and was recently appointed to the regional chair of BNY Mellon’s IMPACT Business Resource Group focused on recruitment and retention of multicultural employees. She has two young daughters and volunteers each Thursday with SHIM’s Mentoring Program. Sehic brings a great deal of life experience and perspective to the SHIM board as well as a strong business background.
