The department currently has 4 patrol/narcotic dogs. The dogs not only work in the McKeesport area; they also travel to neighboring communities. They perform various searches and community events. All proceeds will benefit the K-9 Unit. Funds raised go toward: training equipment, safety features for their vehicles and a new vehicle.
T-Shirts and Sweatshirts
We will be at McKeesport’s International Village Festival (August 15-17) selling T-shirts and sweatshirts.
We have K-9 Stryker who belongs to Lieutenant Eastman, K-9 Ryco who belongs Sergeant Angert, K-9 Yaro who belongs to Officer Weimer and K-9 Farkle who belongs to Officer Matthews.
Golf Outing
The McKeesport K-9 Unit is hosting a golf scramble on Friday September 15, 2017 at Westwood Golf Club in West Mifflin. Please join us for a great time that will help support the K-9 Unit. Golfing is - $100 per person. If you are interested in helping this year, please consider the following sponsorships:
