The Monongahela Area Revitalization Corporation (MARC) will hold a 5K Run/Walk on September 30th. The “On Your MARC Cox Market presents the Best Yet 5K Run/Walk” will begin and end at Chess Park and wind through the neighborhoods of Monongahela and New Eagle.

Starting time for the runners is 9:00 AM then followed by the walkers at 9:03 AM.
Medals will be awarded to the fastest overall runner and walker plus the top two male and female runners and walkers. No duplication of awards will be given. Medals will also be awarded in eight age categories for runners and seven age categories for walkers.
The deadline to apply for the $20 registration fee rate is Wednesday, September 20th. The first 200 applicants will be guaranteed a shirt and race bag. A $25 late registration fee will be accepted at the race sight until 8:30 AM the morning of the race. However, a shirt and race bag can not be guaranteed.
Race applications can be found locally at Cox Market, 711 Route 481 (Park Avenue Extension in Monongahela) or at the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce in Monongahela. Online registration is at www.runsignup.com.
