The South Hills Friends Penny Day fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Trail users are asked to bring their pennies (and a few dollars) that day to help support the Friends and help maintain the Montour Trail.

The primary source of funding for the South Hills Friends are donations made during this annual Penny Day fundraiser event.
Collection locations have been set up along the trail at Clairton, Gill Hall Road and at Brownsville Road Extension, South Park Twp. Signs are located at all three locations.
