The Baldwin Borough Public Library is pleased to announce it is hosting community meetings in the fall, as the library will be renovating and relocating to Leland Center with projected move-in anticipated in early 2019.

Library director Jenny Worley and members of the Board will answer your questions, share photos and explain the plan for renovation.

Attend one of the upcoming community meetings:
• Wednesday, October 4 @ 7 p.m., Baldwin Borough Auditorium (3344 Churchview Ave.)
• Tuesday, October 10 @ 7 p.m., South Baldwin Social Club (5311 McAnulty Rd.)
• Saturday, October 21 @ 1 p.m., Leland Center (5230 Wolfe Dr.)

The Baldwin Borough Public Library and Baldwin Borough received a $500,000 Keystone grant to renovate Baldwin’s Leland Center into a new community library. The project is expected to begin in January 2018.

The Baldwin Library was one of 27 libraries across the state awarded money from the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund to rehabilitate or update library facilities.

Additionally, the library was awarded a $100,000 Community Infrastructure and Tourism Fund (CITF) grant from the Redevelop.m.ent Authority of Allegheny County in support of the renovation of Baldwin’s Leland Center.

The new Library at Leland Center incorporates separate areas for adults, teens and children, with comfortable seating and furnishings to allow for browsing, quiet study and relaxed reading. The design of the children’s section will promote creativity through a fun and interactive design.

The Leland Center is located at 5230 Wolfe Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
