The Peters Creek Historical Society will host a holiday social for members and invited guests on Monday, November 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Wrights United Methodist Church, 788 Venetia Road, Venetia.

Refreshments in the form of finger food, covered dishes and hors d'oeuvres brought by members will be served.
The society's holiday evening of fellowship is a prelude to the annual ‘Soup and Stroll’ open house, to be held on Sunday, December 3, noon to 4:30 p.m. at the historic Enoch Wright House, home to the society and the museum of Westward Expansion, 815 Venetia Road, Venetia. A homemade soup supper will include dessert, bread and a beverage and will be served in the charm and ambiance of a 19th century Christmas. Cost: $8: adults; $5: children nine and under.
