Jack W. Urso

Jack is the son of Sunny and Jim Urso of Bethel Park. Jack joined Cub Scouts 11 years ago, and since joining Troop #4, he has completed all required ranks, has earned 48 merit badges, has held positions of senior patrol leader, patrol leader, and troop guide, and was on Heritage Reservation Summer Camp staff. Jack has also gained membership in the Order of the Arrow.
Jack is currently a senior at Bethel Park High School. He is a member of the rifle team and is employed at Au Grottens Café and Catering in Bethel Park. Jack is also an assistant scout master with Boy Scout Troop #4.

His Eagle Scout project benefited military personnel serving abroad. It consisted of going to local businesses and collecting/purchasing various items and then assembling them in 150 care packages that were presented to Air National Guard soldiers as they were deployed in June. Jack raised $2,587 through a letter writing campaign. A total of 13 scouts volunteered 75 hours, 4 adults gave 38 hours, and 6 others donated 43 hours, for a total of 156 hours.

Jack would like to thank the donors, his family, friends and Troop 4 for all their help in making this project a great success. Jack would also like to thank all military personal for their service to our great country.
