Smithton American Legion Post 790 Commander Capt. Robert Prah cordially invites area residents, veterans, service members and families to Smithton's annual Memorial Day parade and service. On Monday, May 28, 2018.

1. Parade begins at 12:30 p.m.; lineup is on 3rd Street in Smithton
2. Parade ends at corner of 1st & Center Streets in Smithton near American Legion Post 790 Park
3. Guest Speaker is former Smithton mayor and former Post 790 Commander Air Force veteran David "Reed" Kruper
4. Post 790 will also host a wreath drop at the Youghiogheny River at the conclusion of the Memorial Day service at the American Legion Park. U.S. Navy Veteran Kirg Rupert, Sr. will drop a wreath near the Youghiogheny River in honor and memory of those who served at sea or were lost at sea
