Anais Haftman received the Auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc.’s Volunteen Scholarship at the group’s Annual Dinner.

The daughter of Michele Haftman, a Radiation Oncology nurse, and her husband, Ken, Anais has given 230 hours of service volunteering at Monongahela Valley Hospital. During the past four summers she spent two years helping in Oncology and two years in Radiation Therapy.

The 2018 graduate of California Area High School has participated in the Pennsylvania Academy of Science Competition during the past four years and was awarded the Pennsylvania Science Talent Search’s 2018 Outstanding Science Student Award. Anais is a talented musician and competitive figure skater who volunteers at the Fayette Friends Animal Shelter. She plans to attend Duquesne University’s School of Pharmacy through Duquesne’s Honors College in the fall.
