Walking into the office of Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Center for Children’s Rehabilitation with a giant bag of books Marc Scott, of The Olivia Scott Foundation (OSF), looked like Santa Claus delivering gifts to the children.

“Seeing a smile on their faces when looking at a new book gives me goose bumps,” said Mr. Scott. “Promoting education is one of the reasons we created this foundation.”
The Olivia Scott Foundation was formed to honor the memory of Mr. Scott’s late daughter, Olivia, who fell victim to cancer following her junior year of high school. The OSF’s mission is to provide assistance to youth in life-threatening or life-altering situations and to assist organizations who provide the same.
“The Center for Children Rehabilitation provides specialized services to meet the rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents,” said Melissa Marion, director of Fund Development at MVH. “When Marc (Scott) wanted to make this donation, it seemed like a perfect match.”
