George Eckert, President of the Monongahela Area Revitalization Corporation (MARC), poses with WCCF Trustee Deborah Keefer among the crocks at the Monongahela Area Historical Society.

The Heritage Center will provide genealogical resources and research services to individuals interested in tracing their roots. The MAHS anticipates there will be increased interest in local history and genealogy with the onset of the community’s 250th anniversary in 2019.

Additionally, a $1,000 grant from the Hart History Fund was awarded in support of the Monongahela Area Revitalization Corporation (MARC)’s video documentary, Simmons: Steeped in Service, which will detail the extraordinary lives of Gwendolyn Simmons and the late Judge Paul Allen Simmons.
