Bringing Christmas Joy and Cheer to Families in need this Holiday Season

The Salvation Army seeks to provide assistance to those in need this holiday season. This season The Salvation Army will be distributing over 1,500 Toys to Children in need.

Last year The Salvation Army distributed around 1,900 Toys. While assisting this holiday season the Salvation Army will also be doing their Red Kettle Campaign. Their Red Kettle Goal is $150,000. The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help stand kettles from November 21 to December 24, 2018.

“This Holiday Season we plan increase assistance during Christmas in our community. Our Red Kettle Campaign is one of our biggest fundraising campaigns. The money raised during this holiday season supports the Salvation Army year round. Knowing we are making a difference in not only our community but also in the life of others is unforgettable. To see the faces of the people we help and the gratitude they express is unexplainable” said Lieutenant Cheyenne Martinez, Assistant Corps Officer/Pastor.

If you would like to learn about ways you can help this Christmas season Including bell ringing and other volunteer opportunities at The Salvation Army Pittsburgh Temple Corps, Please email or call Lieutenant Cheyenne Martinez at (412)-207-2127 Ext. 104 or Cheyenne.martinez@use.salvationarmy.org
