Calvary Chapel South Pittsburgh (CCSP) hosted the annual West Elizabeth Community Days on Saturday, October 13.

Though rain showers from the day before made the baseball field too muddy to use for the event, Pastor Tim Green and his crew found a more suitable location along 6th Street. The event offered a variety of games, two bouncy houses, and a face painting booth. There was also a makeshift pumpkin patch where everyone was welcome to paint a pumpkin. Toddlers had a box of corn kernels to play in while the teens played volleyball.
More activities and delicious food was offered behind the Lincoln Elementary School building, where attendees enjoyed a pig roast, fried chicken, and kielbasa. People from the church also brought side dishes and desserts.
The event was free of charge no charge because….. as Pastor Green and his wife Jan Green simply stated, “We love the people of West Elizabeth and the Mon Valley.”
