The Monessen Salvation Army sponsored their 5th annual Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018.

Captain Sue Thwaite, with The Salvation Army, enjoys her meal with volunteer Evelyn Moser.

The dinner was held at By George Catering in Monessen. The meal, which was from 11 am – 2 pm, included a holiday feast of traditional favorites, and was a meaningful time of forming and strengthening friendships.

The organization “Bikers helping Others” partnered with the Salvation Army this year to provide the dinner. They helped by gathering supplies and serving meals, deliciously cooked by the By George restaurant. In all, 250 meals were served this year and helped make Thanksgiving great for all who attended.
