ELDORA PARKWALKING TOUR

Our third annual Eldora Park Walking Tours are scheduled for Saturday, March 30th and April 6th at noon. The tours will start at the Smog Museum in Donora with a photo and newspaper article presentation on Eldora Park. We will then drive the three miles to conduct the walking tour portion in the Eldora section of Carroll Township on the historic Wickerham farm. The cost is $12 per person and you should allow two hours for the presentation and walking tour. Please contact the Historical Society to RSVP as space is limited. You will be contacted to confirm the date(s) of the tour(s).

NEW DONORA AND MONONGAHELA FOOTBALL GAME FILMS

We were recently given three(3) new football game films featuring the Donora Dragons and the Monongahela Wildcats. The games are Donora vs. Monongahela from 1955, Monongahela vs. Redstone from 1957, and Monongahela vs. Washington from 1958. None have been converted to DVD as of this writing. If anyone has an interest in these games, please consult our website and click the “Game Films” tab, or contact the historical society.
