Once again in 2018, our Finleyville and Union Township Veterans came through for the children during the Christmas Season.

Ladies of Charity make ready to wrap gifts for deserving children in the Finleyville and Union Township area.

The American Legion Morrison-Ritchie Post 613 presented a truckload of toys to the “Christmas Angels”at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Finleyville. Members of the Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion as well as the good-hearted club members of the Legion once again exceeded their monetary goal. Legionnaires led the “shopping detail” filling a pickup truck to capacity with new gifts. Brand new toys will be wrapped and distributed to deserving children by the Saint Francis Ladies of Charity and other ministries in our area.

“We believe in ‘paying forward’ for the blessings we have in our country,” said Tom miller, Commander of Post 613. “We are Veterans still serving America.”

On Sunday December 16th members of the Saint Francis Ladies of Charity began to gather around the Finley Hall Christmas tree to marvel as the stack of presents grew around the tree and face the daunting task of wrapping close to a hundred gifts for area children.
