On August 16 starting at 5:30 pm and continuing until 8:30 pm, Sisters Place will celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of their Family Playground – renovations made possible through funding provided by McAuley Ministries Foundation. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided. Reservations are not necessary, but appreciated.

“We are so pleased to be able to offer the families at Sisters Place a newly renovated Family Playground,” said Melissa Ferraro, Executive Director of Sisters Place. “The space offers a safe play area for the children, as well as an inviting area for the parents to sit and socialize”.

The Family Playground, located on Sisters Place property at the Century Townhomes in Clairton, PA, now features an expanded play area, new fencing donated by Metro Fence, a cook-out space, and playground equipment for children of multiple ages.

“Many of the residents at Sisters Place have limited transportation, so being able to provide this secure space right in their neighborhood has been a blessing,” says Patricia Wood, Program Director of Sisters Place. “We are grateful to McAuley Ministries for helping to provide a much needed face lift for the play area”.

There will be a brief presentation followed by tours of the housing units and The Shop at Sisters Place. Dignitaries expected include Rich Lattanzi (Mayor of Clairton), Austin Davis (PA Representative) and more.
