Plans are being formulated for the eighth annual ‘Greyhound Reunion Dance’ on Saturday, Sept. 7 in Monessen. The BYO event will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Monessen Firemen’s Social Hall.

Entertainment at the Greyhound Reunion Dance will be two-fold. Making their Mon Valley area debut with classic hits from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s will be the De’Ja’Vu Band from Wheeling, WV. De’Ja’Vu recently opened for such national acts as Sha Na Na, the Crystals and the Vogues and they have a strong following in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Their performance will be complemented by the return of popular disc jockey Ralph Trilli.

The dance is open to all Monessen High School graduates and those who attended MHS. The public is also welcome. This is a BYOB event. The organizing committee will provide soda pop, mixers, ice, chips and dessert.

The cost of admission is $15 per person in advance or $20 at the door. Advance tickets can be ordered by sending a check payable to: Paul Tobacco, and mailed to 4357 East Brightview Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15227. Additional information is available at 412-881-7223 or via email at ptobacco@comcast.net.
