Peters Creek Historical Society will welcome guest speakers, Dick Gaetano and Rob Throckmorten to the August 26 meeting, held at 8:00 pm in the social room of Wrights United Methodist Church, 788 Venetia Road, Venetia.

Both speakers are fellow coin club members and will present a program on the Lewis and Clark Commemorative Coin celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition into the Louisiana Territory Purchase. The talk will encompass local re-enactment history and a power point discussion of the coin. This program was presented to the National Coin Show held in Pittsburgh this past spring.

The Enoch Wright House, headquarters of the society will be open for tour on Tuesday, August 6, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Sunday, August 25, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. For further information on the society check out the website: www.peterscreekhistoricalsociety.org.
