The Bethel Art Guild March meeting will be held on Thursday, March 5 at 12:30PM at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave., Bethel Park, PA.

This month’s speaker is a local artist who grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. David Wadsworth discovered his passion for painting in 2007, and he has been painting almost every day since. His paintings feature cityscapes and landscapes, many from the surrounding communities of Pittsburgh. He uses bold contrasts and simplification with his impressionistic style of oil painting. His art is also influenced and inspired by his full-time job.

David works at a local ministry for those seeking recovery from homelessness and addiction. Because of Pittsburgh’s diversity of people, architecture and landscapes be knows he will have an endless source of inspiration. All are welcome to attend.

Members attending the meeting will learn all about our juried Spring Show at the Galleria. The show will be March 6 -15. This show is well attended by the public and many paintings are sold at this venue. Entrance fees will be received at the meeting from members wishing to hang their new original art work, as well as “sitting” assignments for the show.
