The Southpointe CEO Association (SPCEOA) is pleased to announce that the 2022 SPCEOA scholarship program is now accepting applications.  Celebrating and encouraging leadership development in business, community, and education, the SPCEOA will award scholarships to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in leadership and educational achievement.  This program seeks to recognize Washington County residents who strive to improve their leadership skills and achieve higher levels of education.

The SPCEOA scholarship program is open to individuals who are employees (or dependents of employees) of SPCEOA and/or Washington County Chamber of Commerce member organizations and are residents of Washington County.  The program was created to help provide support to those who seek to make a positive impact in the Washington County community through the completion of a college, post-graduate, or technical degree. The SPCEOA Scholarship Program is open to eligible applicants who will be attending a college, post-secondary, or technical school during the 2022-23 academic year.  The SPCEOA awards these two scholarships in honor of the late Jack B. Piatt, Founder and Chairman of Millcraft Investments and founder of the Southpointe CEO Association.

“The Southpointe CEO Association is proud to offer this scholarship opportunity to outstanding students and emerging leaders in Washington County,” said association president, Dr. David Mariner.  He continued, “We have no doubt that the candidates for 2022 will continue to raise the bar and develop into future leaders in the county.  We remain honored to award these scholarships in the memory of Mr. Piatt and in acknowledgement of his leadership and contributions to the development of Southpointe and Washington County.”

Lucas Piatt, son of Jack Piatt and CEO of Millcraft offered the following comments on the SPCEOA scholarship program, “My father, Jack Piatt, was a visionary leader in our region and while his legacy was forged in business and real estate development, he always made supporting and giving back to his community a top priority.  The Jack B. Piatt Scholarship Program continues that legacy-encouraging the development of the next generation of leaders from Washington County through academic achievement.”

The full scholarship application criteria and submission guidelines are available at the SPCEOA website:  http://www.washcochamber.com/southpointe-ceo. The application is available directly online at:  https://bit.ly/ceoscholarship.  The deadline for applications is Friday, May 27, 2022 at 5:00pm (no exceptions).  Please contact the SPCEOA for accommodations with offline application process.  The SPCEOA Scholarship awards will be announced in July 2022.
