Under the baton of Dr. Susan Medley, WSO and SHCC celebrate the joys of childhood in Francisco J. Nuñez’s “Red Light, Green Light” featuring games of youth, like “Miss Mary Mack” and “Pizza Pizza Daddy-o”.  Singers will share the Swahili lyrics of the Lord’s Prayer from Christopher Tin’s “Baba Yetu” in the Civilizations 4 video game series.  Enjoy a bit of vocal jazz in David Elliott’s “Kentucky Jazz Jam”.  Who knew math could be fun? According to Pittsburgh’s own composer Lynn Purse, the Fibonacci sequence was the perfect concept to set to music.  Purse’s composition “Fibonacci, What a Notion!” highlights the intricacies of mathematics and the natural world. Delight the family with some wholesome fun and games March 16 and 17.  Tickets can be purchased at washsym.org, or email office@shcchoir.org.

South Hills Children's Choir  is under the artistic direction of Mrs. Jennie Nolan, who founded this non-profit choral group in 2013, and Ms. Meghan Hilker, and is accompanied by Mrs. Laura Roberts.   The SHCC is a nonprofit choir dedicated to offering quality musical education for children from all walks of life in the surrounding community and celebrating diversity both in music and in Southwestern Pennsylvania's youth. The Choir aims to establish a life-long relationship with and respect for quality music in the singers' and their families' lives.
