Restoration by Local Company is Underway

Gabe Hudock, the President and CEO of Alumicore LLC of Monessen presented Ron with a check for $10,000, that put them fundraising goal over the finish line.

The Monessen High School Class of 1960 donated $5,000 to the Restoration project and to also purchase a commemorative plaque to be placed near the tank. Workers begin the restoration on the WWII Sherman Tank located in the Monessen City Park.

Ron Chromulak, Commander of American Legion Post 28 and Chairman of the Monessen War Veterans Memorial Trust is happy to announce that the fundraising goal has been met to restore the WWII Sherman Tank Memorial located in the Monessen City Park.

Regal Industrial Corporation of Donora, has been contracted to do the work. Regal Industrial is a locally owned company that specializes in abrasive blasting and coatings and has worked all over the United states and has an excellent reputation.

An official dedication of the newly restored tank will be announced. Chromulak wanted to thank and let all of those individuals, businesses and organizations that generously donated to this project that they appreciate their devotion and Patriotism to our city and country. The members of the Monessen War Veterans Memorial Trust are: Ron Chromulak, Chairman; Richard Pankiewicz, Vice Chairman; and Trustees, James Billick, Matt Rhome, Rev Jack Howell, Delmar Hepple and Lindsey Vlasic.
