The Monongahela Aquatorium is an outdoor riverfront auditorium located on the banks of the Monongahela River in Monongahela. Its eating capacity is 3,700+ not including the lawn areas. Boaters are welcome as guest docks are available. Food and merchandise vendors will also be at each event.
We are continuing our Rockin' on the Mon! ™ Concert Season at the Aquatorium during summer of 2014. All events are sponsored by Aquatorium Innovations, Inc., which is a non-profit organization dedicated to scheduling and maintaining the Aquatorium. Our mission is to provide low cost entertainment to the public. Admission to each event is $10.
The schedule for 2014 is listed below:
- June 14 - Jill West & Blues Attack Concert (Blues). Gates open at 6 p.m. and concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
- June 28 - Battle of the Bands! Concert (Country/Rock). Gates open at 5 p.m. Featuring: Refuge, The Shiners, and the Jades. Vote for your favorite group ~ each vote costs $1 and the winning group wins their voting dollars!
- July 5 - Black Oak Arkansas Concert (Southern Rock). Gates open at 5 p.m. Superb national act coming to our outdoor stage. Two opening acts!
- July 12 - Dancing Queen Concert (Disco/Funk/Dance). Step back to the ‘70s and ‘80s and take advantage of our outdoor dance floor! Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
- July 18 - Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers (Classic Rock). Gates open at 6 and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
- July 19 - No Bad Juju Concert (Contemporary/Pop). Join Sabrina and the boys! Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
- July 26 - The Colgan Hirsch Band Concert (All genres). Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. All types of music: Classic Rock, R & B, Motown, Jazz, Top 40! Something for everyone.
- August 2 - Todd Jones Band Concert (Country) Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
- August 9 - Beach Party on the Mon! Volleyball? Hula Hoops? Limbo? Beach games and the Buffet Man! Early start ~ gates open at 1 p.m. DJ Shrimper Dan will be providing music during all the activities from 2 pm until 6 p.m. The Buffet Man takes the stage from 6:30 until 10:30 p.m. Prizes awarded for most events during the day!
- August 16 - Oh What a Night! A Musical Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This is a sell-out Vegas act coming back to the Aquatorium by popular demand. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
- August 23 - Steeltown Concert (Rock/Country Rock). Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Pittsburgh’s party and dance band!
