LifeSpan, Inc. – Resources and Services for Seniors announces the opening of the Steel Valley Center Farm Stand located at 530 Miller Ave., Clairton.

The farm stand will be open every Thursday through October 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (unless sold out). FMNP and WIC vouchers are accepted.

LifeSpan continues to offer this community service in the Clairton area due to the lack of a neighborhood grocery store. The fresh produce is sold "at cost" to the patrons and is supplied by local Western Pennsylvania farmers.

This year the Steel Valley Center Farm Stand is funded, in part, by the Jefferson Regional Foundation.
