On Tuesday, July 29, City Mission's campus was buzzing with excitement over the Little Caesar's tractor trailer parked in the driveway. Little Caesar's Love Kitchen is literally "a big-rig pizza kitchen on wheels ... meeting the needs of the hungry, the homeless and disaster victims" in the continental United States and Canada.

Love Kitchen driver Rick Moreno and his team of volunteers from the local Little Caesar's franchise came with huge hearts and a truck equipped to feed City Mission residents and the members of the community that eat lunch at Feed My Sheep Dining Room.
Judy Sandy, City Mission's food service manager, was so excited to see the "joyfulness in the air" from the residents when they saw the truck. She said, "Everyone was asking about the truck and if lunch was still served at the same time."
Sandy and her team were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity that Little Caesar's Love Kitchen brought. "It was more than we expected," she noted.
The Little Caesar's team prepared approximately 35 pizzas and fed over 130 people for lunch.
City Mission is thankful for generous donors and their support of City Mission's vision of ending homelessness one life at a time.
